Comms, events and ecosystem engagement, Shikhita is dedicated to fostering effective communication and managing outreach initiatives aimed at cultivating a dynamic community of climate action enthusiasts, innovators, and investors.

Her role includes facilitating the implementation of incubation and acceleration programs. Her communication efforts are focused on engaging with entrepreneurs and community members to foster collective action needed to combat climate change.

Born and brought up in Delhi, India, her upbringing instilled in her a profound interest in environmental issues, propelling her to witness firsthand the adverse effects of climate change during visits to impacted sites. In her own words, “What I find particularly rewarding about my role is the recognition that climate change is a multifaceted issue that demands collective action and engaging with entrepreneurs, community members foster that collective action needed to combat climate change.”

Prior to Synapses, she worked as a research intern at The Energy and Resources Institute’s Climate Department.

Shikhita holds a Master's in Climate Science & Policy from The Energy and Resources Institute, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Science with a focus on Zoology from Zakir Husain College, University of Delhi.

Shikhita is the ultimate Potterhead who can't resist belting out tunes and busting moves whenever the opportunity arises matched only by her undying love for bubble tea!
